What does EcoVadis do? 

EcoVadis assesses companies worldwide for sustainability performance. The platform provides a unified, reliable methodology for measuring this performance, based on international standards such as ISO 26000, the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) standards, and the UN Global Compact principles.

How does EcoVadis assess?

The assessment process involves an in-depth analysis of policies, actions and results in the areas of environment, social practices, ethics and sustainable procurement. Each assessed company receives a score between 0 and 100, based on 21 different sustainability criteria, as well as feedback on strengths and areas for improvement. The data is collected from various sources, including companies themselves, NGOs, trade unions and international organisations, in order to paint as complete a picture as possible of a company's performance.

What does the silver EcoVadis medal mean?

Of all - now more than 150,000 - companies assessed by EcoVadis, Van Ommen is in the top 15% on scores in various sustainability criteria. But Van Ommen does not stop at achieving this medal and continues on the path in further sustainability.
