Roughing cutters are used when there is a large risk of vibration and/or if there are problems with chip removal. Phantom roughing cutters are available in a UNI universal application, as a HP2 UNI model for large-scale production as well as specialist roughing cutter models for aluminium and Inox for use on stainless steel.
