Professional set of Phantom HSS hand taps, compliant with DIN 5157, 2-piece set, specifically designed for cutting G (BSP—British Standard Pipe) pipe threads. Manufactured from high-quality high-speed steel (HSS) for reliable performance and a long service life in general steel grades. The set consists of a pre-taper and a finish tap. This 2-step system (Tap No. 1 and No. 2), as defined in the DIN 5157 standard, distributes the cutting load progressively. The pilot tap centers and pre-cuts the profile, after which the finish tap cuts the G-thread to its full nominal depth. Ideal for precise manual tapping.
