This tap is the cast aluminum specialist, specifically designed for machine tapping of aluminum with a high silicon content (Si > 10%). This material is extremely abrasive. That is why this tap is nitrided: this surface treatment drastically increases wear resistance and guarantees a long service life. The DIN 371 standard ensures a reinforced shank for maximum stability. The helical cut (form B) and 3.5–5-start cut ensure effective chip evacuation for through holes.
