Professional Phantom UNI HSS-E Machine Tap (DIN 371) for tapping metric threads with a specific oversize of 0.1 mm or 0.2 mm. As a Universal (UNI) tool, this tap is manufactured from cobalt-alloyed HSS-E. Thanks to its special geometry, this tap performs exceptionally well in a wide range of materials, such as steel, stainless steel, and aluminum. This “Over-size” version is designed for special applications, such as tapping threads that will undergo further treatment (e.g., coating). The DIN 371 standard guarantees a reinforced shank for maximum stability. The helix angle (type B) and the 3.5–5-start thread ensure effective chip removal for through holes. The anti-overcut geometry guarantees a dimensionally accurate final result.
