The Phantom UNI HSS-E machine tap (DIN 371) with a thickened shank and spiral flute (3.5–5 threads) for through holes. The TiN coating reduces friction, allowing for more holes and/or a higher cutting speed in steel. This smooth top layer, combined with the universal anti-overcut geometry, guarantees a dimensionally accurate thread and makes the tap suitable for tapping aluminum as well.
