The Phantom HSS stepped hole saw, Ergo-Step with a 1/4" hex shank (E6.3), is specifically designed for use with impact drivers. The 1/4" hex shank absorbs the impact forces, while the unique Ergo-Step geometry ensures that you drill from one diameter to the next more smoothly and with less resistance.
