This Phantom HSS Hand Tap Set (DIN 352) is designed for professional manual tapping of metric threads. The set consists of three parts: a roughing tap, a semi-finishing tap, and a finishing tap. This three-stage approach ensures progressive and precise thread cutting, starting with the pilot tap for initial tapping and ending with the finish tap for calibrating the thread. Manufactured from high-quality HSS (High-Speed Steel), these taps offer reliable tool life for general use in various types of steel. The short design in accordance with DIN 352 makes them robust and suitable for both through and blind holes.
