Professional Phantom HSS Hand Tap Set, compliant with DIN 2181, 2-piece set, specifically designed for cutting Metric Fine (MF) threads. Manufactured from high-quality high-speed steel (HSS) for reliable performance in general steel grades and non-ferrous metals. This set consists of a roughing tap and a finishing tap. This two-step system, specifically designed for the DIN 2181 standard for fine threads, distributes the cutting load progressively. The pre-cutter (No. 1) pre-cuts the profile, after which the finish cutter (No. 2) cuts the thread to its full nominal depth. Ideal for precise manual tapping of through and blind holes.
