Phantom UNI HSS-E Machine Tap Metric Coarse, long, reduced shank

Professional Phantom UNI HSS-E Machine Tap (Long Version) for machine tapping of metric threads. As a Universal (UNI) tool, this tap is manufactured from HSS-E. Thanks to its special geometry, this tap performs exceptionally well in a wide range of materials, such as steel, stainless steel, and aluminum. This long version features a thin shank (a through-shank conforming to DIN 376). This reduced shank allows for tapping deeper holes. The chip break (type B) and the 3.5–5-start thread form are optimized for through holes, ensuring that chips are effectively evacuated forward. The special anti-overcut geometry guarantees an extremely dimensionally stable final result.
